BA Graphic Design Michael Sandiford

I returned to finally gain my degree almost 10 years after I gained my HND. What I also gained was a rekindled love and enjoyment of the basic principles of design, research, experimentation and everything created for a reason, even if it's just for the sheer enjoyment.

Through out my earlier research projects in the year I played around with the ideals of experimental typography. Letting the research constantly guide my final outcomes and just seeing where the journey took me and my creativity.

BA Graphic Design - Michael Leech

My Work

Plymouth PowerPass is a city-wide marketing initiative that enables holders of the pass to obtain a range of discounts across a wide range of leisure businesses in and around Plymouth.

My role as designer was to create a brand that would encompass the vibrancy and fun of going out and about in Plymouth.

With the website being the ‘shop front’ of the business, this was my main design task. The site was built using the very latest HTML5 and CSS3 techniques.

The Future

My intention is to combine freelance web design with working for The Aspirations Group as Creative Director.

Just Write is an awareness campaign targeting adolescent students, both in schools and universities who suffer from obsessive-compulsive disorder. For many, going to university is their first experience of living away from home. As is well documented for people with OCD, stress can cause symptoms to become worse. I have recently completed the second year of my BA degree at Plymouth College of Art. I have been studying graphic design for over four years, and have already gained a triple distinction National Diploma in Graphic Design & Illustration. Work Description:
I am a graphic design student specialising in Digital Design,.I can provide work such as Websites, T-Shirt Designs, Event Posters, CD Artwork and Logo Design.
